Employment Law is one of the four (4) primary practice areas at Donati Law Firm.  Attorneys Don Donati, John Canale, Billy Ryan and Bryce Ashby handle our employment cases.

Since the inception of Donati Law Firm, a substantial part our practice has been dedicated to the representation of individuals in all types of employment disputes. We pride ourselves on being regarded as one of the top plaintiffs' employment firms in the Memphis area. Our breadth of knowledge and track record of success sets us apart from other firms who represent individuals in employment disputes.

We litigate in federal and state courts involving claims under:

  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination in the workplace on the basis of race, sex, religion or national origin or retaliation for opposing discrimination in the workplace.
  • The Equal Pay Act (EPA) Claims involving different pay on the basis of race and sex.
  • The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) Claims involving different pay on the basis of age.
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Claims involving failure of an employer to accommodate a disability and claims involving discrimination on the basis of disability.
  • The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Claims involving failure to grant medical leave and claims involving retaliation for taking medical leave
  •  The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Claims involving overtime pay violations.
  • Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Claims involving pension plan issues and welfare benefit plan issues (e.g., claims involving Severance Plans, Long Term Disability Benefits, etc.)
  • The Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA) Claims involving discrimination on the basis of pregnancy.
  • We also handle many other types of employment cases involving federal and state law, including breach of contract claims, non-compete cases, whistleblower actions and retaliatory discharge actions.
