Mr. Canale was instrumental in the firm's recent success at the Tennessee Supreme Court in the case of Tidwell v. City of Memphis, 193 S.W.3d 555 (Tenn. 2006), which held that the City's OJI proceedings must be governed by the Tennessee Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, thus ensuring fire fighters injured in the line of duty the right to counsel and a hearing before a neutral and impartial fact finder.

Mr. Canale serves as the firm's lead attorney to the Memphis Fire Fighters' Assoc., Local 1784 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, which is one of the nation's largest fire fighters' unions.  In this capacity, Mr. Canale represents Memphis fire fighters injured in the line of duty, handles employment disputes with management, as well as the general legal needs of Local 1784.
